Whether you are imagining an intimate garden wedding, a traditional wedding, a floral wedding, or even a DIY wedding, you should start by choosing a wedding theme that matches your personality and budget.
Once you know what that theme is and you have selected a date and venue, it will be time to pick out your favorite wedding invitation card!
How to choose your wedding invitations?
invitations too, for a cohesive look. You could even use the same font as the one that will be seen on your wedding day on signs and decorations. You may also choose to include separate RSVP cards for guests to fill out.
If you’re running on a tight budget, rest assured you will still have many designs to choose from for under 0.65£. No matter what your wedding style is, these cards will be cherished by your loved ones long after your big day, so make sure they reflect who you are and the theme you are looking to achieve for your wedding.
What information should you include in your wedding invites?
Your friends & relatives are going to be thrilled to find out about the upcoming wedding. They’ll want to know everything! What the theme is, which dishes will be served, what style of dress the bride will be wearing...
Of course, it is important you don’t reveal everything right away. Leave in some mystery before your wedding day! On the other hand, there is some information we strongly recommend you share :
- The date, time & place of the ceremony
- The time & venue of the reception
- How long your guests have to RSVP
- Your contact information
- Response cards
You could also include a fun question or two! Ask your guests which song they would like to dance to on your big day. They could even give you marriage advice, or share honeymoon recommendations! If you’re planning on conceiving after the wedding, why not ask them what you should name your children? Take the time to make sure the wording sounds good to you, and keep the content simple and easy to read! It’s also important to have at least a couple of friends or family members proofread the text. You’ll definitely want to have them review your cards and eliminate those typos before they are printed out and sent!
When to send your wedding invitation cards?
Do not send out your invitations until you feel ready! This means you not only have a date and venue in mind, you also feel confident that everything is properly booked and won’t have to be cancelled. You wouldn’t want to proudly announce you are getting married at a wonderful venue, only to have to notify everyone there was a change of plans. Of course, you also don’t want to send out your invitation cards too late. This would be risky, as many of your guests may already have other plans. And if there is ever a time you want all of your loved ones to be there for you, it’s definitely on your big day! Ideally, they should be in the mail 6-8 weeks before the wedding date. You should also thoroughly discuss who you are sending the invitations to before they’re sent out in the mail! Make sure you and your partner are on the same page when it comes to the guest list. Also bear in mind, you will only need to send one invitation per household. We do recommend ordering a few more than you think you’ll need though. If they’re not sent out, they will make wonderful keepsakes for later!
Have fun & enjoy the preparation
Your wedding may seem a long way away today, and you’re probably looking forward to tying the knot (or maybe you’re feeling anxious as well as excited?)! But the months of planning & preparation are also made up of precious moments that you’ll fondly look back on as you grow older. So enjoy this part of the journey too! We’ve got your back covered when it comes to the wedding invitation designs.
