How to assemble your invitations
If you’ve just received your pocket fold or ribbon wedding invitations or baby cards you will notice that they have arrived disassembled! To ensure that they are fully protected during transit each element is packed separately into the same parcel. Assembling your invitations is easier than DIY, just follow the quick steps below. Your cards are going to look stunning!
How to assemble your pocketfold invitations
You’ll receive your pocketfold invitations in 4 parts: pocket, invitation card & belly band as well as enough sticky tabs to hold your cards together.
Step 1: Take your unfolded invitation pocket and lay it down white side up, larger section at the top, smaller section at the bottom. Place a double sided sticky tab in the middle of the middle section of the pocket.
Step 2: Carefully place the invitation card over the middle section of the invitation pocket ensuring that it is centered and does poke out over the sides of the pocket. Once you are happy with the invitation card’s position, press down firmly to secure in place.
Step 3: Fold the invitation pocket across the predefined fold lines. Starting with the bottom section, fold it up towards the invitation card so that you can see the card design. Then do the same with the top section, folding it down over the invitation and the bottom section. Your invitation card is now enclosed within its pocket.
Step 4: Take your belly band and lay it flat, white side up. Fold the smaller section up, across its fold line and then place a sticky tab towards the bottom of this section. Then fold the larger section down, over the top of the smaller section and press to secure it in place.
Step 5: Slide your folded pocket envelope (with the secured invitation card inside), into its belly band.
Step 6: Insert your assembled pocketfold wedding invitation into its white envelope ready to be addressed.
How to assemble your ribbon invitations
Your ribbon wrapped cards will arrive with 2 different elements: invitation card and a satin ribbon per card.
Step 1: Take your flat invitation and fold each side it across the predefined fold lines, so that they join in the middle.
Step 2: Take your silver satin ribbon and lay it flat, lengthways. Place your folded card over the ribbon, in the centre.
Step 3: Take the ribbons' ends and thread each one through the holes on the front of the card. Tie the ends together in a bow.
Step 4: Insert your assembled luxury ribbon card into its envelope ready to be addressed.
How to assemble your bow invitations
Your satin bow cards will arrive with 3 different elements: invitation cards, 1 satin bow per card and double-sided sticky tabs to attach the ribbon to the card.
Step 1: Take your flat invitation card and fold it in half across the predefined fold line.
Step 2: Take a sticky tab, remove the liner from one side and attach it to the back of the bow.
Step 3: Remove the liner from the other side of the double-sided tape and attach the bow to your card, pressing down firmly.
Step 4: Insert your assembled card with its bow into an envelope and address it.
Once you've created one or two of your cards and really gotten into the swing of things, you'll find that the assembly process will fly by! Quick tip: carry out steps 1 and 2 on all cards, in one go, before moving on to steps 3 and 4 (and 5 & 6!), in order to really optimise your time.
